A New Beginning.

Yep, I was officially an uncle at last. She was encased in a soft silky white wrap when I first saw her and held her in my arms.

She was truly a bundle of joy.

Being their 1st grandchild, both Dad and Mom doted on her, showering her angelic face with little kisses and giving in to her every whim and fancy.

That was 9 years ago.

My thoughts drifted-on to late 2003, where I remembered that even at such a young tender age of 3-years, this little angel would gaze mournfully at the casket as my late-Dad lay in regal poise, as if she knew her gaze of him would be the final one. She never did let go of his kisses etched in her memory upon her return to France, and my Sis would hold back tears long enough to disappear for a quiet cry, whenever her little one asked for her "Kung Kung".

This morning, mixed emotions skewed to joy. I'm elated to hear confirmation from my Sis that her family would be returning to Malaysia soon for a long holiday. Yeap, Anna, my lil' angelic niece has grown to be a fine young lass and together with her younger brother Thomas, would once again make a 12-hour flight to reinforce her Asian-roots and fill Poh Poh's quiet home once again with unending chatter (both of them would incessantly call my eldest brother "Uncle Fatty Pig") and giggles, albeit giving their Poh Poh a blissful headache.


I'm smiling now. ^_^
