Days Of Blue

credits to blog.citylets.co.uk

Moments tick away and that makes up my weary day,
I fritter and waste the hours in a nonchalant way.
Rubbing my soles on the ground within the confines of my work compound
impatiently waiting for someone or something to show me life's abound

Tired of basking in the sunshine or staying indoors to watch the rain
i am young and life's path is long and there is time for mental drain
And then one day I awake and find many years have got behind
no one told me when to run, I've missed the life's marathon starting gun

And when I strut and run to catch up with the blazing sun,
but its sinking and there's still much yet undone
And racing around the globe to come up behind you again
the sun's still the same in the relative way but I'm older, milder, fatigued and a day closer to HIS domain

Every year seems shorter, never seem to gain the time
needs and wants that either come to naught or a torn page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is humanity's way
the time is gone, sad memories chilled over, there's nothing more to say

"Walk on a trail of loving kindness
Walk on a path of compassion
And all else around you will be beautiful."
Every Blessing

Lovely poem...but surely you're too young for this kind of thoughts. More of something that people like me would be pondering upon. But I don't look back - what's done cannot be undone...and all I can do is to be grateful for every blessing, every bit of joy that I've enjoyed along the way and hopefully, life ahead will be just as kind.

Beautiful poem that holds so much truth in it and that it makes me want to just smell the roses and cherish Every single moment that we have, do more charitable deeds, spread the Love of God, let others be able to see God in our actions before we finally meet our Maker.

Love the Metta song by Imee Ooi ~ (Be free from enmity and danger, be free from mental suffering, Be free from physical suffering, May they take care of themselves happily).

There always seems to be so much time to idle aways and so little time to work. LOL.

Wow at the fluidity of your poem! Yeah, sometimes when we start wondering the past and found we might not done enough, it could make us really down... but hey, we still hv the mystery box(the future) to explore and the gift(present) to treasure, should be really blessed liao!;D

it should be okay to rest for a little while, hope everyone will wake up and continue running on the path.
