Back in the pre-Merdeka days.....................
A Malay, an Indian and a Chinese man are hired at a construction site.
The mat salleh foreman points out a huge pile of sand.
He says to the Malay guy, ‘You’re in charge of sweeping.’
To the Indian guy he says, ‘You’re in charge of shovelling.’
And to the Chinese guy, ‘You’re in charge of supplies.’
He then says, ‘Now, I have to leave for a little while. I expect you men to make a dent in that pile of sand.’
(This one was too good not to share.)
So when the foreman returns after being away for a couple of hours the pile of sand is untouched.
He asks the Malay guy, ‘Why didn’t you sweep any of it?’
The Malay guy replies, ‘I no hava no broom-lah. You saida to the Cina man wasa ina charge of supplies, but he hasa disappeared and I no coulda finda him. Pusing betul! ’
Then the foreman turns to the Indian guy and says, ’And you, I thought I told you to shovel this pile.’
The Indian guy replies, ‘Ayo yo, that shoovel ..... eelek eelek! China brudder in chairge of supplies, couldna fin’ him macha.’
The foreman is really angry now. He storms off toward the pile of sand to look for the Chinese fella.
Just then, the Chinese man leaps out from behind the pile of sand and yells,
‘SUPPLIES!!! !’
If only we could attempt to find the humour in situations; the world would surely be a happier place for us to live in.
Have a wonderful weekend, my dear readers! ^_^

LOL! And you know, these sort of things do happen. Miscommunication and misunderstanding happen all the time. I used to work with coworkers who don't speak English too well and they would misunderstand instructions.
The Tiong Kokman also in charge of surprise chicken or flied lice for lunch..too?
