Shoes Thrown
I applaud the Iraqi journalist who committed the act on 14th December 2008 in Baghdad and truly felt that it was an action that spoke much louder than words; to tell to the world of the real anger and frustration that the Iraqi people had to endure and suffer. And it was aptly carried out at the most appropriate time and place. Time? It was a perfect send-off present to remind the world that Bush's assurances that the Iraqi people were thankful to the Americans were so very far from the truth. Place? Where else would be more appropriate than doing the act in "The Land that the mighty United States Of America liberated".
The only sad part was that the attempt missed the mark.
But then, it was a moral victory, albeit a small one, to justify that no oppression, no act of war could ever be deemed acceptable, especially in the name of liberation or religion. It just pains me that the decision of a few men could result in the deciding and ultimately, changing the destiny of a whole nation and the deaths of so many innocent lives.
But then again, what would you expect from a man who professes to be a child of God and preaches compassion via the sole proclamation of an annual symbolic gesture of saving a turkey at Thanksgiving whilst being the unseen hand in the strifes of the war-torn countries???

Wow!... the iraqi really hates US President Bush so much until throwing shoes on him...
i heard bout this on the radio and had a major jaw drop!
I love the whole shoe throwing. Pity he missed. :(
i think he should keep it as a souvenir ... you know, a 'gentle' reminder of his service in the white house before he officially steps down! hmm ... i wonder if someone has the guts to perform the act here before getting detain and lock up for the rest of his life!
Bush murdered more humans than Saddam did hence the Iraqi threw him the shoe. Bush even remarked it was a Size 10 which missed him.
i would throw a cellphone instead
talk abt having naomi campbell temperament...haha!! XD
TZ ~ yea, heard from CNN that using a shoe(s)is the harshest form of insult by an Iraqi.
