This Christmas eve

How to appease my restless soul

Where water in the thermos is not thirsty

And rice in the pot is not old

I came up with one thing

And I don't believe I am wrong

There are KL's millionaires

With money they can't use

Their Datins run around like banshees

Their children sing the blues

They've got expensive doctors

To cure their hearts of stone

But nobody

Now if you listen closely

I'll share with you what I know

The race of man is suffering

And I can hear them moan

So spread a little cheer this Blessed Yuletide

To other souls within sight

To those you may not even know

His Holiness The Dalai Lama, when asked many times whether Buddhism is a religion or a way of life, replied that ........... "My religion is loving kindness".

Personally, I hold his wise words close to my heart and try to practise fervently, the belief that all religions must be cherished and every spiritual occasion, an ideal time to contemplate on glad tidings and an ideal way to pray for peace and love for all sentient beings.

Wishes come in many forms but have one single essence -- to spread peace, compassion and loving kindness.

It is with these good thoughts that I wish and pray for peace to be with your loved-ones and you on this special occasion.
